Four Paws
Challenge:
International animal charity Four Paws asked us to come up with something innovative and very easy to use to help them raise awareness of International Animal Rights Day. Whatever we created needed to be rolled out over ten of the European Four Paws websites as well as the UK site. Finally, Four Paws wanted to collect emails from opted-in users for future marketing and communication.
Solution:
Working with a graphic design company, we produced a jQuery driven microsite allowing users from across Europe to send messages in real time. The site appeared within a 'lightbox' overlaid across the main websites providing multi language variations based on the country of origin.
The site allowed users to click on the screen to add a new candle and message. After clicking, a message submission form appeared with jQuery validation, making the submission process quick and efficient.
To give the website administrator peace of mind, we provided a password protected admin area giving the ability to moderate any inappropriate messages submitted. The admin area also allowed administrators to download opted-in users' email addresses in Excel format for future marketing.
Results:
The website received nearly 10,000 messages within 24 hours of the site going live across the Four Paws websites. Website administrators could hardly keep up with the submissions!
Unfortunately, as the project was only live for 48 hours, we don't have a link. However see the images above for screenshots.
