Somerset based freelance front end developer
I'm a front end developer, I love what I do and when I'm not creating something special for clients, I'm tinkering on my own stuff or self-studying.
I develop in a progressive way which means the code is clean, easy to maintain and works... as you would expect!
Accessibility is also hugely important to me so, I build with accessibility in mind as standard.
Testimonial from clients
James is one of those hard to find developers with up to date technical knowledge coupled with excellent interpersonal skills, he speaks both techie and business languages without any of the jargon
James asked the right questions in a way we could all understand and was flexible when the deadlines moved
My family and friends will tell you, I'm always up to something in my spare time and more often than not, I'm learning something new. Either through practical application or reading up on the latest technologies. This is not just my job but my hobby too!
My favourite tools!
Having been in the industry for 10 years, I've worked with clients large and small, from Government through to sole traders.
I'm flexible in my approach to projects and have worked in both agile and waterfall environments.
I'm comfortable working in a lead/senior role, helping to mentor in-house developers to increase skills and adhere to best practices. I also regularly work closely with backend developers to integrate front end code with systems built on .Net, Java and PHP.
